Targeting new markets by the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades

The ongoing international promotion initiative by the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades continues with a focus on alternative tourism forms. In the frame of informative meetings of the Municipality with selected international journalists, Naxos won a position in the yearly “green” list by the National Geographic (Spanish edition) https://viajes.nationalgeographic.com.es/lifestyle/grecia-islas-que-quisieron-ser-libres_18363 , which includes Greek destinations, taking into account initiatives of the destinations to promote sustainable and specialized forms of tourism. On the travel website of National Geographic, visited by millions of readers in Europe and America, Naxos is one of the three Greek islands that “want to be free”.
