Ammitis beach on Naxos island, the nearest beach to the village of Eggares, is located on the island’s northwestern coast, is a long stretch of white sand, with crystal-clear waters, and offers wonderful sunsets. It is relatively exposed to northerly winds, so it is ideal for windsurfers. The estuary of a stream forms a wetland.
